Legislature

A significant loss is on the horizon in the Nebraska legislature with upcoming term-limiting of longtime Senator Ernie Chambers (D-Omaha). Chambers often speaks for the underdog and has shown that he understands naturist issues. He was an important part in 1999 of the defeat NAC dealt to Legislative Bill 837, a proposed law that would have made felons of anyone in Nebraska who purchased or possessed The Naturist Society's Nude & Natural magazine.

The Nebraska unicameral legislature meets from January 9, 2008, through April 15, 2008. Bills from 2007 DO CARRY OVER to the 2008 session.

The NAC board member responsible for Nebraska is Kath Rooney.
