LEGISLATION - 2007
The Rhode Island legislature considered two bills in 2007 that may have impact on naturists. Each bill proposed to create the separeate offense of indecent exposure/disorderly conduct. Each would declare indecent exposure/disorderly conduct to be a misdemeanor offense punishable by imprisonment of not more than one year, or a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000).

Senate Bill 731. Held for further study by Senate Judiciary Committee.

Senate Bill 739. Held for further study by Senate Judiciary Committee.

The Rhode Island legislature met from January 2, 2007, through June 22, 2007. The Rhode Island legislature meets from January 1, 2008, through June 30, 2008. Bills from 2007 DO CARRY OVER to the 2008 session. No prefiling of bills is allowed.
